Colt James Posts Another Top Ten Finish at Iowa Speedway

(For Immediate Release)

Buda, TX (May 22, 2007) - Despite all their hard work and preparation sometimes the luck of the draw can doom a race team from reaching their goal of winning the race. Last weekend at Iowa Speedway Colt James had such luck to battle.

“We ended up qualifying right after a guy who blew his engine so the track was still slick when we made our run,” said driver Colt James. “We had a good run fighting from the back all day and this eighth place finish is good for us after all we went through.”

Iowa Speedway is a super smooth, super fast 7/8ths of a mile track celebrating its second season of racing. “This was our first time on this track and the place is fantastic,” said Colt. “It can be very costly for small teams like ours but this is a great place for the ASALMS Series to run.”

Colt James started the season with a win at San Antonio Speedway and has been in the hunt for the Championship right from the start. This family owned team has figured out a way to do more with less this season and Colt has shown that he is one of the most consistent drivers in the ASALMS Challenge Division. “I wish we didn’t have that bad night at Hawkeye Downs otherwise our underdog team would be higher in points,” said Colt. “We will try to win a few more races and finish as high as we can in points!”

Colt James Racing has a few much-needed weeks off to prepare their car for the next Challenge Division race at Berlin Raceway on June 16th.
