Texas Super Racing Series Returns To Action

By: Pat Mayberry

Del Valle, TX (October 18, 2006) - After a six week lay off for drivers, excitement is building among Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS) teams as they prepare to make their final visit of the 2006 racing season to the beautiful Houston Motorsports Park (HMP) this Saturday, October 21st for the Space City Spectacular. The series opened the 2006 season at he beautiful, state of the art, facility on Houston’s east side back in March with Chris Schild taking home all the gold with a pole and a race victory. On the series second visit this season rookie Robert Walton captured his first win with the series.

Entering the next to last race of the season, rookie Cody Smith narrowly leads veteran Tommy Gural by two points. Defending champion, Chris Schild is still lurking only 54 points back. HMP is a track where Schild holds every record for the series with four wins and four pole awards so he must be considered a threat to make it a three man race next week at the Stock Car Spectacular. Every position will be valuable for these drivers as they head down the final two weeks in pursuit of the 2006 season championship.

For ticket information please visit Houston Motorsports Park on their site at www.houstonmotorsportspark.com. To keep up with all the news for the Texas Super Racing Series please visit their web site at www.manracingpromotions.com. Gates will open at 4:00 PM and racing starts at 6:30 PM.
