Houston Motorsports Park - $3000 to Win - "75 Lap Modified Race"

HOUSTON MOTORSPORTS PARK

Houston, TX (June 30, 2006) - This Saturday, July 1, Houston Motorsports Park will have a $3000 to win, 75-lap Modified race, with a a total purse in excess of $6500.

There's also a $750 to win, 75-lap Sportsman Late Model race, with a total purse in excess of $2500.

Houston Motorsports Park & Thunder Hill Raceway have opened up the rules to allow non-crate motored Late Models for the remainder of the 2006 season.

Randy Andersen and Jack Sandefur, the Technical Directors at Houston Motorsports Park and Thunder Hill Raceway hae worked out a formula that will allow big-motored/non-crate engine Late Models and Modifieds to race with our Pro Late Model and Pro Modified Crate Engine cars competitively. Also, TSRS Late Models can race with the Sportsman Late Models for the remainder of the 2006 season.

This Saturday, July 1, HMP will feature a 75-lap Pro Modified race sponsored by Double Oak Construction & JoCo Oil & Lube Center. with $3,000 to win - total purse in excess of $6,500. Plus there's a 75-lap Sportsman Late Model race sponsored by Delmar Systems, with $750 to win - total purse in excessof $2,500.

Pit gates open at 11:00 a.m., and racing starts at 7:00 p.m.
