Corpus Christi Speedway to Re-Open this Saturday

(Corpus Christi, TX) June 22, 2006 - After weeks and weeks of preparation, we are indeed at a point of opening this Saturday, June 24th . . . ready or not here we go!

We are having an open practice tonight (Thursday)from 5pm to 10pm. at no charge to any driver, pit crew or spectators.

The track surface with the new seal coating got very good reviews from our veteran drivers and held up excellent under a few extreme conditions. It is expected to get even better as more rubber gets layed down.

There has been a lot of long hot days, and very late nights to get to this point and I would like to thank everyone for their participation for our opening.

We will be running Super Streets, Bombers, and 4-cylinder Texas Thunders on a weekly basis with added touring series' throughout the season. Our regular addmission price is $9.00 for adults and children 12 and under will be admitted free. There will be a increase in addmission for special events to be announced.

C.C. Speedway will be starting its 61st racing season this year since it beginning in 1945, and we are excited to have the opportunity to continue the sport of asphalt racing here in Corpus Christi and the South Texas area.
