Texana Raceway Park - Update - July 25th

Racing will return to the Texana Raceway Park this Saturday night with the Texas Super Coupes joining the regular field of Stock Cars and IMCA Modifieds. The Texas Super Coupes are modern versions of '34 Ford, Chevy, and Dodge Coupes powered by 360 cubic inch V8 engines running on wide racing tires. Long-time race fans will enjoy the retro look of this division, while younger fans will get a racing history lesson in racing of the the '50's. The Texas Super Coupes will draw over 15 entrants from as far away as North Texas and Louisiana.

Track officials are looking for another night of competitive racing in the new IMCA Modified division, as the number of IMCA competitors grows with each night of racing. IMCA drivers are competing for both local and national points, so each race night is important in their effort to win season championship honors.

The popular Dwarf Cars will again post some of the fastest lap times of the evening as they provide fans some of the most exciting racing of the night. Add to this the competition of four Stock Car divisions, and those in the grandstands will get the best live entertainment value in the area.

The first event is scheduled for 7:30 at the track located 2 miles southeast of Edna, on State Highway 111.
