J.C. Umscheid captures Pro Modified championship title at Thunderhill Raceway

(October 5, 2008) J.C. Umscheid of Alvarado, TX won the Pro Modified 50-lap event at the Allstate Texas Stock Car Spectacular Race held at Thunderhill Raceway September 27, 2008.
Umscheid had consistent lap times during the practice sessions and set fast time, coming within 1/100th of a second to breaking the track record.
Umscheid drew the pole starting position and led all 50 laps. This victory was Umscheid's tenth win this year in the Pro Modified division - with three wins at Thunderhill Raceway (Kyle, TX), two wins at Red River Speedway (Wichita Falls, TX), and five wins at Houston Motorsports Park (Houston, TX). Umscheid's teammate, John Heil, clocked in the second fastest qualifying time and finished second in the feature event.
