FORT WORTH, Texas (August 18, 2008) – Texas Motor Speedway’s 2009 race schedule
will mirror this season’s line-up with two races each in NASCAR’s three top-tier series – Sprint
Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman Truck – and one visit by the IndyCar Series, speedway president
Eddie Gossage announced today.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Samsung 500 (April 5), IndyCar Series Bombardier Learjet
550k (June 6) and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Dickies 500 (Nov. 8) once again serve as the
marquee events of the season and anchor 11 days of racing action.

The Samsung 500 race week will kick off the Texas Motor Speedway season April 2-5 and
feature the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series. The IndyCar Series makes its
only visit to the “The Great American Speedway!” with the Bombardier Learjet 550k race week
June 4-6 and will be paired once again with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The Texas
Motor Speedway season will culminate with the Dickies 500 race week Nov. 5-8 that will
showcase a NASCAR triple-header, which is highlighted by the eighth race in the 10-event Chase
for the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship.

In conjunction with the announcement, 2009 season tickets will officially go on sale
beginning 9 a.m. Tuesday at the TMS ticket office (817-215-8500), on the speedway website,
www.texasmotorspeedway.com and at FanFest II at Texas Motor Speedway. Season tickets,
which consist of 11 days of racing and the exclusive Aaron’s Fandango fan event, begin as low as
$279 for frontstretch seating.

“According to the surveys and research we do with our fan base, this is the perfect schedule
for their tastes,” Gossage said. “We have brought them another great mix of the country’s
premier racing series – NASCAR’s three top-tier series and the IndyCar Series – and providing all
this action at very affordable season-ticket pricing starting as low as $279. We look forward to the
stars of NASCAR and the IndyCar Series racing in front of some of the largest crowds and most
enthusiastic fans they will see in either series throughout the season.”

There are no price increases on season tickets for the 2009 season and Texas Motor
Speedway is looking to assist its fan base as much as possible during this sluggish economy. For
every season ticket purchased in full by Oct. 1, Texas Motor Speedway will provide a $10 debit
card for any type of use by the purchasing customer. The TMS ticket office also will work with
fans that may need a lay-away program for their season tickets.

“We have a very affordable season-ticket package but we want to ensure our most loyal fans
that the woes of the economy does not interfere with their opportunity to enjoy their racing first
hand,” Gossage said. “With the debit card, the cost of season tickets will actually be less in 2009
if you pay early. If you can’t, we will work with each and every fan that may need a layaway
program of some sort to secure their season tickets.”

2009 TMS Schedule
The Samsung 500 will be held Sunday, April 5 and falls on the weekend prior to Easter and
The Masters golf major. The Samsung 500 will be coupled with the O’Reilly 300 Nationwide
Series race scheduled for Saturday, April 4. The Dallas Morning News Qualifying Days will be
held Thursday, April 2 (Nationwide) and Friday, April 3 (Sprint Cup).

The IndyCar Series makes its lone stop to Texas Motor Speedway for the Bombardier
Learjet 550k on Saturday evening, June 6. The Bombardier Learjet 550k – “America’s Original
Nighttime IndyCar Series Race” – will be paired with the WinStar World Casino 400 NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series race on the preceding evening of Friday, June 5. Qualifying for the
truck series will be held the evening of Thursday, June 4 while Firestone Qualifying for the
IndyCar Series will be Friday, June 5 prior to the WinStar World Casino 400.

WinStar World Casino recently agreed to a multi-year deal with Texas Motor Speedway to
become the title sponsor of the truck series event, replacing Sam’s Town. No financial terms of
the deal were disclosed. WinStar World Casino is located in Thackerville, Okla., just 75 minutes
north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. WinStar World Casino, in the midst of an
expansion project that will transform it into Oklahoma’s largest casino, will double in size to
519,000 total square feet, including 380,000 of gaming action. The facility will feature over
6,000 electronic gaming machines, more than 100 poker and blackjack tables, a 1,500-seat
bingo hall, off-track betting, several restaurants, the expanded 2,500-seat WinStar World Casino
Global Events Center and a golf course designed by former PGA Tour veteran D.A. Weibring.

The 2009 TMS race season will close with a NASCAR triple-header weekend headlined by
the Dickies 500 Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Nov. 8. The Dickies 500 will once again be
the eighth race in the 10-event Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship format.
The Dickies 500 will be joined by the Lone Star 350k Craftsman Truck Series race on the
evening of Friday, Nov. 6 and the O’Reilly Challenge Nationwide Series race on Saturday, Nov.
7. The race week opens with 7-Eleven Qualifying Days on Thursday, Nov. 5 (Craftsman Truck
Series) and Friday, Nov. 6 (Sprint Cup and Nationwide).

Season-ticket pricing ranges from $279 to $582 for 11 days of racing in addition to tickets
to the exclusive Aaron’s Fandango event, the opportunity to purchase pit passes for the
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race weekends and a $10 debit card for each season ticket
purchased in full before Oct. 1. Individual tickets for the 2009 Samsung 500 and Bombardier
Learjet 550k weekends will go on sale Nov. 5, following this season’s Dickies 500 on Nov. 2.
