Pit Stop competition confirmed for TSRS qualifying this Saturday at Houston Motorsports Park
(Austin, TX) The Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS) late models, the premier late-model touring series in Texas, will dazzle race fans by holding a Pit-Stop Competition before its 75-lap feature race this Saturday night at Houston Motorsports Park (HMP).
This will be the fifth-ever Pit Stop Competition for TSRS at HMP. Last year the crew for Chris Schild (TSRS driver #7) set fastest time during the Pit-Stop Competition held before the “Fiesta 75” feature race, which was won by Robert Barker.
According to TSRS records, the following have won Pit Stop Competitions at HMP (one year is not accounted for at this time):
2007 - Chris Schild
2004 – Marc Currey
2003 – Jamie Fuller
Houston Motorsports Park will run five additional classes of short track racing Saturday night, including: ASA Pro Late Models, Pro Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Legends, and Bandoleros. HMP announced that $5 General Admission Tickets are available at any Houston Fiesta store.
Also, children 12 and under are free and there will be $1 hot dogs, beer and soft drinks. HMP gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 6p.m. at one of the greatest short-track racing facilities around.
