Kick-Off special starts new race season at Kennedale
KENNEDALE, Texas (Feb. 26) – The first annual Spring Kick-Off special
starts the new race season this weekend at Kennedale Speedway Park.
All IMCA points will be awarded for features Saturday and Sunday,
March 1-2. First place in the IMCA Modified mains pays $600 while
features for the IMCA Southern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and
the newly sanctioned Crate Models all pay $500 to win. IMCA Sunoco
Hobby Stocks chase a top prize of $300.
Gates open at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 29 for registration and
practice. On Saturday, gates open at 4 p.m., the draw closes at 6:30
p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. On Sunday, gates open at 2 p.m., the
draw closes at 3:30 p.m. and racing gets underway at 4 p.m.
Pit passes are $25 and there is no charge for grandstand admission on
Friday. Grandstand admission Saturday and Sunday is $10 for 12 years
and over, $3 for children 6-11 and free for kids five and under.

Spring Kick-Off sponsors include Smiley’s Racing Products, Sunoco,
Jeff’s Performance and Centex Motor sports.
