The “Allstate Texas Racefest” Returns to Central Texas

Fourth Annual Event Brings NASCAR Grand National Division, TSRS and Celebrity Challenge Races to Thunder Hill Raceway This Spring

Austin, TX (February 12, 2008) – Full Throttle Productions, LP, is pleased to announce the fourth annual “Allstate Texas Racefest”, previously voted “event of the year” by NASCAR three years in a row, scheduled for Saturday, April 19th, 2008.

Promoters Tavo (CT) Hellmund and Aryn White have high expectations and a few surprises for Central Texas race fans.

“We are fortunate that NASCAR has granted us the one ‘off’ Cup weekend of the first half of the year, which we feel is a big plus for all of the fans that attend our event,” stated Hellmund. “Considering that every Grand National Division promoter requested the date, it speaks volumes that the Texas event was awarded the coveted slot.”

“We are going to continue with all the same successful elements of previous Racefest events, including a midway with music, autograph signing, face painting, climbing wall, sponsor tents and more, for a family-friendly atmosphere and great short track racing,” said Aryn White. “We have a few surprises up our sleeve this year that the fans should really enjoy,” continued White, “one of them includes Allstate’s on-site sign up to win a ride in the pace car for the start of the NASCAR race.”

The racing festivities for April 19th will include the Allstate 50, highlighting the Texas Super Racing Series, the premiere Late Model Series in Texas; the Allstate Celebrity Challenge, a 10 lap stock car race pitting local celebrities against each other for charity; and culminating in the Allstate Texas Thunder 150 NASCAR Grand National Division race.

In the fall, Allstate and Full Throttle Productions will partner with Thunder Hill Raceway owner Mary Ann Naumann in the newly sponsored “Allstate Texas Stock Car Spectacular,” September 26th and 27th. More information on the 12th Annual Spectacular to come in the near future.

Full Throttle Productions continues working to reschedule the recently postponed USAC National Midget Series date. Due to activation obligations and schedule conflicts the original USAC dates of Easter Weekend (March 22nd) and the April 19th Racefest weekend are not available. FTP and USAC are exploring the possibility of the USAC Midgets returning to Central Texas in October of 2008.

Tickets for the 2008 “Allstate Texas Racefest” will go on sale Monday February 18th. You may purchase tickets by going to www.texasracefest.com.
