ASCS Sooner Region 2008 Schedule



Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (January 16, 2008) – The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region schedule has been announced as the series prepares for its eighth year of competition.



In 2008, the ASCS Sooner Region will contest 18 events at ten different tracks throughout Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas.



The series opens the season with an April 4-5 weekend south of the Red River, taking to Waco's Heart O' Texas Speedway to kick off the season and then making the first of four stops at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, TX, the next night.



The season concludes with an October 4 stop at Mid-America Speedway in South Coffeyville, OK.



The ASCS Sooner Region will visit a pair of new tracks in 2008 as well, including Boyd Raceway in Boyd, TX, and Kennedale Speedway Park.

The American Sprint Cars is the nation's most prevalent Sprint Car sanction body, with the series sanctioning 189 nights of racing at 90 different tracks throughout 25 different states and Canada in 2007, with 866 different drivers competing in at least one event.
