Full Deal for Texas Driver Cody Smith and 5K Motorsports
18 year old Cody Smith will compete full time with 5K Motorsports in 2008
West Bend, Wisconsin (December 19,2007) – The ASA Late Model Series announced today that 5K Motorsports and High Groove Marketing have signed the young Texas driver Cody Smith to drive the full ASA Late Model Series North Division in 2008.
Smith debuted with 5K Motorsports in 2007 competing in four ASA Late Model Series South Division events in Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina.
The former Texas Hobby Stock Champion was very impressive in those four ASALMS events as well as the test 5K conducted at the Slinger Super Speedway – Slinger Wisconsin.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am” Smith said. “ 5K showed me last season what they can do and this is a great opportunity for me to compete in the ASA Late Model Series.
Smith and his family were present at the 5K Motorsports holiday appreciation banquet this past weekend when the announcement was made.
“We were very pleased with Cody’s performance last season” stated 5K Motorsports Owner Ken Wills. “Signing Cody for the 2008 ASA Late Model Series for 2008 was a top priority for our team”.
“Americas Premiere Short Track Series” – the ASA Late Model Series Northern Division will provide Smith the opportunity to compete in eleven schedule events beginning in April of 2008 that will cover five states - Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Michigan and Wisconsin.
