Toledo, Ohio (04/21/2007): The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts has completed Race Number Three of the Fifth Anniversary 2007 Racing Season for “America’s Premiere Short Track Series”. The Glass Breaker 200 is now in the record books.
The Cars and Stars of the ASALMS Challenge Division were at the historic Toledo (OH) Speedway, located right across the Michigan/Ohio border in Toledo, Ohio on Saturday April 21, 2007 for the running of the Glass Breaker 200.
After a thrilling side by side dual that lasted for almost 10 laps, West Bend, Wisconsin’s Travis Dassow passed Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year Points Leader, Derek Thorn with five laps to go to win his first career ASALMS Challenge Division Feature!
Dassow, who teamed up with the former Waltom Racing Team, the champions of the last two seasons with Stephen Leicht in 2005 and Kelly Bires in 2006, steered his Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters/Nestle USA/Willy Wonka Candy Chevrolet Monte Carlo into victory lane to win his first ever ASALMS in his third season of ASALMS competition.
