AUSTIN, TX (October 26, 2006) – Casey Smith is more prepared than ever going into the last USRA Super Late Model race of the 2006 season.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Casey Smith Prepared to Win in Kyle Special Thanks to the Team AUSTIN, TX (October 26, 2006) – Casey Smith is more prepared than ever going into the last USRA Super Late Model race of the 2006 season. Smith calls Thunder Hill Raceway his “home track” and he has thousands of laps around the 3/8 mile oval, located just 20 miles from his home and race shop. Smith has had an impressive run in the Central Texas based series, with 2 wins, 3 top-fives, and 5 top-tens in seven starts. However, Smith will not be fighting for the championship, because of missing a race earlier in the season due to a schedule conflict with the Blizzard series in Pensacola, Florida. Because that one race Casey missed was held at Thunder Hill Raceway in July, Casey only has one start at the track this season in which he qualified on the pole and took the win. Smith looks to remain so-called “undefeated” at his home track. Casey sits 3rd in the points championship, 33 points ahead of veteran Greg Davidson, and 75 points in front of Brandon Bendele. Since Casey isn’t running for a championship, his only focus is on the win. “I really hope the momentum we gained at San Antonio three weeks ago will carry over to Kyle.” Casey said. “I like racing at Thunder Hill, I consider it my home track because it is so close and I have so many laps around it. We are taking the #9 Hamke car that ran well for us at San Antonio. We learn more about that car every time we race it, so hopefully we can run well this weekend and end the USRA season with a win.” Casey would like to take an opportunity to send out a special thanks to all the hard work and dedication that made the 2006 season successful: Scott Anderson – Tech Support, Pit Support Mark Biles – Car Chief, Jackman Lake Brooks “Pond” – Pit Support Alan Buchanan – Team Manager Gary Buchanan – Team Owner, Driver Josh Freeman – Pit Support Robert Hamke – Chassis McGunigill – Engine Specialist Paige “Cuz” Miller – PR, Website Brian Morgan – Tire Specialist/Changer Brad “Bubba” Naumann – Car Chief, Fabricator Billy Peavey – Pit Support, Tire Changer Glenn Schwabe – Tech Support Joe Shear Jr. – Engineer, Shock Specialist David “Grasshopper” Smith – Pit Support, Tire Carrier Glen Smith “Dad” – Crew Chief, Spotter Kathy Smith “Mom” – Great Support Zac Zearfoss – Pit Support And most of all, Casey wants to thank all of his fans for their continued support.
