Texana Raceway Park, TX (October 17, 2005) - The final Texana Raceway Park racing event for the 2005 season was run under the full moon, which often provides fans with an excess of bent race cars and drivers with unhappy attitudes.

Texana Raceway park - Race Results Oct. 15th Bill Morris The final Texana Raceway Park racing event for the 2005 season was run under the full moon, which often provides fans with an excess of bent race cars and drivers with unhappy attitudes. Saturday's races did nothing to change the "full moon myth" as the aggressive racing action on the track caused a number of entrys to exit the track on the back of the wrecker. In the Hot Stock Truck Division, Inez's Bob Ort picked up the win by default when an accident saw all his competitors leave the track on the hook. In another wreck-marred event, Victoria's Kevin Migura took home top honors in the Late Model Division. Others in the division sufferd extensive body damage, but were able to finish the event. In other Stock Car action Daniel Teinert won the Mini-Stock freature event ahead of Blessing's Justin Bloom. In the competitive Bomber Division Monty Chamberlain, of Louise returned to the winners circle. After not racing for two months Edna's JJ Jennings showed no signs of the lay-off as he returned to the winners circle in the Street Stock competition. Rounding out the Stock Car action was a win by Victoria's Ken Densman in the Super Stocks. In the popular Dwarf Car action it was Frank Furia, of Wallace, racing back to victory lane ahead of Gary Faris and Mike Christain both of Bay City. Results in the Modified Divisions saw Shiner's Vince Loudon take the top spot in the Sports Mods, while Art Rodriguez lead all entrys in the IMCA Modifieds. The only event remaining for Texana Raceway Park's fan and drivers is the Awards Banquet schedule for November 19th at the Edna K of C Hall. The program will include dinner and live music for dancing, plus special awards to the track's top drivers.
