Texas Native Draws 19th Starting Spot for Budweiser Shootout at Daytona By Bobby Chaffee, TexasSpeedzone.com February 11, 2005 Corpus Christi native, Bobby Labonte reached in the cooler and grabbed the #19 Budweiser bottle. That will give the 2000 NASCAR Cup Champion a chance to showcase his talents as he starts from the last row of the Budweiser Shootout. The defending race winner, Dale Jarrett drew the number one bottle as he goes for his forth win in the annual event that kicks off to Daytona Speedweeks. Bobby Labonte’s brother, Terry Labonte, is able to compete in the event but has not entered a car for competition. The race will be run under the lights at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 12, 2005. The Shootout is comprised of two segments: 20 and 50 laps.
