Five Texas racers are entered in the ARCA race at Daytona International Speedway set for this Saturday.

Five Texas racers are entered in the ARCA race at Daytona International Speedway set for this Saturday. Some of the Texas contingent have had some breakthrough performances during the 2004 racing season. Robert Richardson, of McKinney, Texas won the Fire 911 ROMCO Texas Tornado Series race at Texas Motor Speedway in April. Richardson also raced in the NASCAR Southeast Series and finished 7th in the final points standing. Paul White, of Temple, Texas won the 2004 Turkey Trot race at I-37 Speedway in Pleasanton, Texas. During the 2004 racing season Paul raced in a number of different series including USAC Silver crown series as well as the NASCAR Craftsman Truck series. Ken Weaver, of Dallas, Texas, purchased the entire Joe Gibbs Racing NASCAR Craftsman Truck series fleet to race for 2004 Rookie of the year honors in that series. Larry Foyt, of Houston, Texas is the son of the racing icon A J Foyt and competed in various racing series in 2004. Ed Kennedy, of Coppell, Texas, has been involved in NASCAR racing for over twenty years. He has raced in a variety of divisions including Figure Eight, Late Models, Busch North and ARCA.
