(Kyle, TX) September 17, 2007 - After the draw for invert, last Thunder Hill Raceway winner Gary Chancellor jr. and fast qualifier, Jason Young led the 23-car starting field to green for the 75 lap main event.

Texas Super Racing Series, Operation Interdependence 75 Saturday, September 15, 2007 by J M Hallas Schild Sweet for Four-peat After the draw for invert, last Thunder Hill Raceway winner Gary Chancellor jr. and fast qualifier, Jason Young led the 23-car starting field to green for the 75 lap main event. Chancellor and Young stayed door to door through turns 1-2 and down the back chute. Chancellor was able to inch ahead through three and four to secure the top spot. Defending champion, Chris Schild, winner of three TSRS races this season fell into second, with points leader Bobby Joe New taking third. Michael Cullen brought the yellow early with lazy spin off turn 2. Schild quickly began putting the pressure on Chancellor for the lead once back to green. With the top nine running nose to tail the lead pack came up on Alvin Stewart, who had slowed dramatically. Stewart drifted down in front of the lead pack with Young getting into the back of New as the pack stacked up. Bobby Teer jr, took advantage and got by Young for fourth. Craig Sellman and Joe Aramendia made contact on lap 18 as they battled for sixth. James Reeder saw an opening and got past Aramendia for seventh. Jason Hollander brought out the caution on lap 20 when he spun in turn 3. As the field came into turns 3-4 to take the take the green the middle of the pack bunched up with Aramendia getting punted into the infield grass. Schild, who appearantly went to school on the previous restart, was able duck inside Chancellor on the next try and get by for the lead on lap 32. Sellman, now in a fight for fifth with Young had body panels flapping and recieved the black flag to make repairs. Hollander and Tator Mason made contact on lap 35 to bring out the yellow hankie. The crossed flags were shown under caution with Schild, New, Chancellor, Teer and Young in the top five. The field once again accordianed on the restart with Bill Hamilton getting spun from the pack. Schild got a good jump on the next try but a multi-car tangfle in turn 1 brought yellow out again on lap 47. New tried to jump Schild on the lap 52 restart, but got no more than a look inside on the back stretch. Ugo Bevione spun off the turn 2 hill to bring yellow back out on lap 54. Schild and New got away when the race resumed, while an eight car pack battled for second. Teer was putting heat on Chancellor for third looking high and low until finally by on lap 67, with Young following for fourth. New was still looking for a way around Schild and got another look inside on lap 69, but was unable to get past. Bevione brought out the final caution on lap 72 with a spin in turn 2. Schild got clear of New by half a car length as the green waved for the final three laps. New now had to worry about Teer, who putting pressure on the veteran for the runner-up spot. Schild would hang on the final lap to win by a couple car lengths.
